The battery on my cell phone that i’ve had for approximately 2 years lasts about 10 minutes when fully charged. My last resort is buying a new battery. What can I do to make the battery life longer? It is a lithium ion battery in a kyocera cell phone.

If i do have to buy a new battery? How much would it cost me or would it be cheaper to just buy a new phone?
Added at 9:37- Can I freeze it? Would it damage it? How long should I freeze it for?
I have the backlight at 5 sec. I even disabled the backlighting for awhile but I had to turn it back on, I couldnt see anything.
Its a prepaid cell phone… no contracts and I always have the charger plugged in

I’m writing an editorial for my school newspaper about cell phone use and how we should be permitted to use our cell phones at lunch at my school. What would be a good way to start it off? Also, any suggestions on how I should organize it would be great! Thanks in advance! :))

my cell phone is starting to short out… i have to put my phone at just the right angle for it to charge… why does this happen? and if it isn’t actually shorting out what’s goin on with it? is there anything i can do to fix it before it just completely stops working?
unfortunately its a metro pcs prepaid phone… it would cost an arm and a leg to get it fixed if its an issue with the phone itself…

There can be nothing more disturbing than losing the connection when talking on the cell phone. Cingular runs ads on television about having the fewest dropped calls. But, what causes them and can they be fixed?

I was wondering if cell companies charge so much and have so many fees and such long contracts because they have to to make a fair profit and stay in business, or are they making tons of money off the high demand of cell phones. If they do need to charge so much, is it because of poor business practices or why is it?

If anyone has studied this or worked close enough with cell phone companies to give an educated answer, I’d sure like to know. Please provide sources and facts (not opinions please). Thanks.
I guess I should say I understand that they will charge what the market will bear and as long as we keep paying, they’ll keep charging high rates.

My question is, at their current spot, does anyone know if they are making large profits because they are taking advantage of the market, or if the “invisible hand” of the market has driven their charges as low as they currently can go with today’s technology and still stay in business?

Someone will ask me, “Did you get my call?” and I say “no” and my cell phone shows no new call. Then later that day, sometimes the next day, the little chime comes in that says I have a new call. And it’s the call the person made the day before. Is this a cell phone problem or a cell phone service provider problem, like AT&T?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but you never know how different cell phone companies systems’ are programmed. Also, does, “Temporarily Disconnected” mean that they number has been suspended for payment issues or is this a generic message regardless of how the number is disconnected, even if the person has cancelled service or changed their number? Thanks.
